2 1/4	c	Flour
3 1/2	ts	Baking powder
	pn	Salt
1/2	ts	Cinnamon
1/2	ts	Nutmeg
4	tb	Shortening
1/2	c	Sugar
1		Egg
1	c	Milk
1	c	Chopped apples

Cream shortening and sugar. Add egg. Then add flour, baking powder and spices alternately with milk. Fold in apples. Bake 20 minutes at 400 degrees. Marjorie Carney
